Moments and Afterthoughts.
(A premiere film photography show)
The Moment. The result from the mechanical movement of the shutter. The instinctual reaction of when you chose to freeze the scene on film.
The Afterthought. Your personal reflection on the image, on the moment. This could be as simple as where you were, who you were with and what was going on around you. It could also be a moment to dive deep and wax philosophical. Hanging side by side, the moment and afterthought, will have the opportunity to tell a deeper story and immerse the viewer into your perspective… for a moment.
(You are invited to exhibit)

Sample of an Afterthought for the photo at the top
This was the best photo mile I’ve ever walked. Having a day to kill in Manila, Brodie and I walked from Quiapo Church to a flea market. We wandered the streets, two obvious tourists, cameras in hand pointing at anything with visual interest, and visual interest was everywhere. My head was on a swivel. A vendor cooking some unknown meat, a woman selling candles, a guy napping on his tuk-tuk, a group of “mechanics” huddled around a motor hoisted in the area. I couldn’t reload film fast enough. I shot three rolls along the route. In the end, the flea market ended being a dilapidated mall selling cheap knockoffs.
