WHY?
We love printmaking! We also feel it’s a very misunderstood and under-collected medium. After visiting the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in London several years ago, we have wanted to host a similar celebration of the various printmaking techniques and help our region understand how incredible it really is as a means of artistic expression and collection! Explore our homepage and social media to get a feel for what The Ramble Gallery is all about… better yet… come visit!
WHEN?
August 15th-September 12th - The exhibition opening reception will be August 15th from 4-9PM. A major portion of sales and traffic come on opening night. Because this is a celebration of printmaking, in addition to the exhibition show, we will also be having interactive demos running during this time as well as live music, refreshments and interactive giveaways. We want to show how exciting and fun Printmaking is!
We are adding a day to the celebration with a demo day Saturday August 16 from 11AM - 5PM this will be more live demonstrations, interactive mini-classes (linocuts, monotype, gel prints, potato prints etc) If you are interested in running a demo (Friday, Saturday or both) in intaglio, relief, monotype, screen print etc please respond accordingly below. Speedball has provided materials. We currently do not have budget to pay demo artists. For our feedback for the future, please indicate if payment is a necessary factor.
WHO?
You! If you have read this far… that means you’re likely excited about printmaking. This is a first come, first served submission process so act quickly! Because of the relative obscurity of printmaking in our region, we do not know what kind of response we will get for submissions. For this reason, we will do our best to cut off the submission process once we know we are completely full. However, weather pending, we can expand the party out to our driveway and parking area.
HOW?
Because of the unique nature of this event– being more of a fair exposition than a traditional gallery exposition– we will be accepting submissions based on available wall space. Our wall hanging system is a cable-based system instead of nails and hooks. Because of this, we will be sourcing booth grids to hang from our system which can then be used with S hooks or clips to make displaying multiples much easier. (We are still trying to source the grids for a reasonable price, rent or buy. If you have any leads, please indicate below.) As a gallery, we take a 40% commission on all sales. All work is insured during the duration of the show. All work will be available both in-store as well as online.

Completing this form will help us to determine wall space availability. Please only submit if you are committed to exhibiting on the dates indicated above. We intend to have this event be an annual celebration and hope the printmaking community is as excited about it as we are. We are open to suggestions and feedback!
